About

Georgina Morris

My name is Georgie, and I run Pebbles Play Therapy I am a qualified Play Therapist, an experienced teacher and I hold a Masters in Applied Drama. 25 years of working with young people and adults in schools and community settings has given me a wide range of experience, but it is as a parent that I feel I have learnt the most. Parenting challenges you to work to be the best you can be, it gives you the ultimate responsibility and pushes you to understand another human being whilst challenging every aspect of who you are.

In my work, I use all my experience to deliver a high-quality service. I am a creative and flexible practitioner with a passion for finding the key to supporting your child and you. I have experience working with many different children in schools and in private practice in my role as an associate play therapist with Hands On Play Therapy. I see many neurotypical children and also children with ASD, ADHD, Down Syndrome, Tourette’s, and non-specific learning disabilities. I have supported children and families who have experienced domestic violence, separation and divorce, hospital trauma and attachment difficulties.

I was trained by The Academy of Play and Child Psychotherapy (APAC) which is accredited by PTUK and Leeds Beckett University. I am on the Register of Play and Creative Arts Therapists which has been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority which guarantees my ethical standards and accountability. I have a further qualification as a Heart to Heart practitioner and am a qualified AutPlay practitioner providing play therapy specifically to children with ASD and I am qualified as a SMART practitioner (Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Treatment). I have a current DBS & am ICO compliant.
